Import Your Apple Books Highlights

PastReads makes it effortless to import your highlights and notes from Apple Books. Our smart import system automatically processes your highlights, preserving all your valuable reading insights including book titles, authors, notes, and highlight dates.

Choose your preferred import method:

Email from iPhone or iPad

This method is ideal for importing highlights from a single book or just a few books using the Books app.

Your highlights will be automatically processed as soon as they arrive, usually withing seconds. PastReads uses advanced parsing to ensure your highlights are accurately imported and organized.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues:

• Verify you're using the same email address as your PastReads account, or from an associated email.
  If you want to send your highlights from a different email address than the one registered to your PastReads account, you can add "associated emails" under My Profile > Settings > Associated emails. This is useful, for example, if you registered for PastReads with an Apple Private Relay email or typically send emails from another account.

• Most imports are processed within a minute. Please wait a short while if you don't see your highlights appear.
• Check your email for status updates. A confirmation will be sent after your email is successfully received.

What Gets Imported
